“I have seen what happens when a young woman is given the chance to lead. She doesn’t just rise; she lifts everyone with her. That is why we built KAYA: to multiply that impact a million times over.”

About us

KAYA Women’s Leadership Institute (KAYA WLI) is a Ghanaian non-profit organization committed to empower and elevate women leaders and entrepreneurs by fostering an inclusive environment that cultivates leadership skills, promotes gender equity and drives sustainable development. The KAYA Women’s Leadership Institute exists to create transformative opportunities for women and enable them to lead with confidence, influence positive change, empower them economically and allow them to contribute meaningfully to societal progress.

Our Motivation

Why We Do What We Do

Every young woman carries a spark that can light up a community, a nation, and the world. But far too often, that spark is dimmed by barriers she never chose — poverty, discrimination, and limited opportunity.

We believe it’s time to change that story.

Empowering 10 million young women is our commitment to awakening a generation of resilient leaders. When women rise, they lift their families, drive economies, and rewrite the future for generations to come.

At KAYA Women’s Leadership Institute, we are driven by this unwavering belief: when you empower a woman, you transform a world.
